0 12V to 6V DC converter using 7806 regulator IC

This simple converter project uses 7806 IC to convert 12V dc from a battery to 6V DC. Converter can produce a maximum current of 1.5A (with heatsink) at 6V from an input of 10V to 25V.
Part list:
LM7806
C-220uF electrolytic capacitor rated 25V or higher
0.01uF- or higher rated 10V or more

The capacitors are optional and can be omitted.This is suitable for powering devices that uses 6V DC such as chargers,radios and others. IC regulator pinout is shown below.
