DC to DC Converter Circuit
High Efficiency DC to DC Converter Circuit
DC to DC converter circuit is a circuit that receives a DC input voltage and generates a DC output voltage. DC to DC converter is very necessary in a portable electronic device that is operated primarily by batteries such as cell phones and laptop computers.
These portable electronic devices often contain several sub-circuits, each with its own voltage level requirement different from that provided by batteries or external power supply. Sometimes higher or lower than the supply voltage so that it requires a DC to DC converter circuit.
In addition, the battery voltage drops as power stored dried. Switched DC to DC converter circuit offers a method to increase the voltage of the battery voltage thus reducing some to save space instead of using multiple batteries to accomplish the same thing.
DC-to-DC converter circuit that is used to provide noise isolation, power bus regulation, etc. Most of the DC to DC converters also regulates the output voltage.
Simple DC to DC converter circuit
6V to 12V DC-DC Converter with Transistors
This converter circuit can provide up to 800mA of 12V power from a 6V supply.
6V to 12V DC-DC Converter with IC
This step-up converter is intended for use in a car, has a 6V battery and won’t support a modern radio that needs 12V. The circuit described here converts 6V to 12V at 1A sustained load current.
